Developer Relations Engineer (DevRel)
Be the technical face of CreateOS to developers: write code, publish tutorials, and build the community.
Before you read further: this is not a 9-to-5. There are no pre-written tutorials to re-post, no community to inherit, and no marketing team to carry your message. If you measure success by impressions rather than deployments, this role is not for you. If you write code that actually works, build communities that actually show up, and put agents to work so you can focus on the things only a human can do, keep reading.
Why Now
Most DevRel is still stuck in the conference-circuit, swag-table era. The developers building AI-native applications in 2026 do not want branded t-shirts. They want someone who can sit with them in their IDE, debug their deployment configuration, and show them a faster path to production.
CreateOS is entering its growth phase at the exact moment when the MCP ecosystem is exploding. Claude Code and Cursor users are actively looking for deployment infrastructure that integrates natively with their workflow. The #BuildItNow community has real momentum but no dedicated builder behind it yet.
The DevRel hire we make now will define how the developer world perceives CreateOS for years. The content you publish in the next six months will be the tutorial that thousands of developers find when they search for how to deploy an AI agent. That is the opportunity on the table.
About CreateOS
CreateOS is the unified AI execution layer for the enterprise. One platform to route, govern, validate, and observe AI applications across models and clouds, with sovereignty over where workloads run, backed by NodeOps orchestration across a global compute network. We build production AI for teams that can't afford to ship something that doesn't work.
We believe the best developer advocacy is technical, authentic, and relentlessly helpful. Not marketing dressed in a hoodie.
The Role
As our Developer Relations Engineer, you will be the face of CreateOS to the developer community. You will speak to builders in their language, writing code alongside them, publishing tutorials that actually work, showing up in the communities where they congregate, and translating their feedback into product decisions.
This is a technical role with a community multiplier. You will write code, record demos, publish content, run workshops, and represent CreateOS at the places that matter: YC, a16z events, AI Engineer Summit, and developer meetups globally.
Technical Content and Education
- Build and publish full-lifecycle tutorials, starter kits, and deployment guides for CreateOS.
- Create demo applications showcasing MCP integration with Claude Code and Cursor.
- Develop deployment templates that highlight CreateOS's primitives.
Write technical blog posts, comparison guides, and benchmark reports (e.g., "CreateOS vs. Railway: a deployment benchmark").
- Record video walkthroughs, live coding sessions, and YouTube/X content.
- Use AI agents to accelerate content production, translation, and distribution.
Community and Events
- Own the #BuildItNow community: Discord, X, GitHub Discussions.
- Run monthly virtual hackathons, AMAs, and live deploy challenges.
- Represent CreateOS at conferences, YC Demo Days, and developer meetups worldwide.
- Build and activate a developer ambassador program.
Product Feedback Loop
- Synthesize community pain points into structured product feedback.
- Triage developer-reported bugs and escalate to engineering with reproduction steps.
- Serve as the voice of the developer in product planning sessions.
What We're Looking For
Must Have:
- 2 to 5 years of experience in Developer Relations, technical advocacy, or technical content creation.
- A strong software engineering foundation: comfortable writing production-quality code in Node.js, Python, or TypeScript.
- Experience deploying and operating web applications (containerization, cloud, CI/CD).
- Exceptional communication: you make complex things simple without dumbing them down.
- A genuine passion for developer communities; you participate, not just broadcast.
Strong Plus:
- Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or building LLM-powered developer tooling.
- Prior DevRel at a developer-tools, cloud, or AI infrastructure company.
- An active presence in developer communities: GitHub stars, a technical blog, conference talks, an X following.
- Multilingual communication skills; particularly valuable for leading our global builder community.
What Success Looks Like
| Goal | Target |
|---|---|
| Published tutorials/guides | 8+ |
| Community members added | 500+ |
| GitHub stars on starter kits | 200+ |
| Demo videos published | 4+ |
| Developer onboarding rate (tutorial to deploy) | 40%+ |
What You'll Get
- Competitive salary plus a meaningful equity stake in the company.
- A platform to build the definitive DevRel presence in AI agent infrastructure.
- A direct line to founders and a seat at the product roadmap table.
- Health benefits, flexible PTO, and a team that operates at full intensity.
