CreateOS Sandbox vs Baponi

Pick Baponi if your agents fire many short scripts at data in your own buckets and you want one HTTP call per run, no lifecycle and network blocked by default. Pick CreateOS Sandbox if the agent needs a full Linux machine that stays up, runs any language or toolchain, serves a port, and isolates with a VM rather than a process jail.

Pricing at a Glance

CreateOS rates verified 17 October 2026. Baponi pricing as published on 17 October 2026. Rates billed per GB rather than per GiB, or as bundled sizes, are quoted as published rather than converted.

Baponi

Baponi charges in credits, where 1 credit is 60 seconds of 1 CPU and 1 GiB: 1,000 credits a month free, Pro at $97 per month for 10,000 credits and then $1.00 per 1,000 credits, as of 17 October 2026.

Where CreateOS Sandbox Fits Better

What CreateOS Sandbox brings to this matchup, with a plain note on where Baponi has the edge.

A Firecracker micro-VM with its own guest kernel per sandbox, where Baponi isolates with nsjail rather than a VM.

Sandboxes stay up with no lifetime cap, against a Baponi per-execution limit of 60 seconds on Free and 1 hour on Pro.

Run any toolchain: devbox:1 carries Python, Node.js, Go, Rust, Bun and Docker, and an opt-in HTTPS URL can expose a dev server.

CreateOS is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified, with reports available under NDA. Baponi says its SOC 2 Type 1 preparation starts in Q4 2026.

Where Baponi is strong

Baponi is the simplest integration in this set for short agent tool calls: one HTTP or MCP call, no lifecycle to manage, no idle billing, network blocked by default, and bucket mounts where storage credentials never enter the sandbox, all self-hostable for regulated teams.

Which to Pick

Pick CreateOS Sandbox if

  • Your agent works in one environment across many steps or hours.
  • It needs Docker, Go, Rust or a running server with a URL.
  • Your threat model calls for VM isolation.

Pick Baponi if

  • Every tool call is a short script in Python, Node.js or Bash.
  • You want network blocked by default and nothing running between calls.
  • You need the whole platform in your own Kubernetes cluster, including air-gapped.

Common Questions

Does Baponi run code in a VM?

No. Baponi runs each call in a hardened nsjail process sandbox using Linux namespaces, a seccomp-bpf allowlist, zero capabilities and its own network namespace. CreateOS Sandbox runs each sandbox as a Firecracker micro-VM with its own guest kernel.

Which languages can a Baponi sandbox run?

Python, Node.js and Bash. CreateOS Sandbox's devbox:1 image carries Python 3.12, Node.js 24, Bun, Go, Rust and Docker, and you can build a custom root filesystem from a Dockerfile through Templates.

How long can one Baponi execution take?

Up to 60 seconds on Free and 1 hour on Pro, with no limit on self-hosted Enterprise, and nothing runs between calls. A CreateOS sandbox stays up until you destroy or pause it, so long tasks and background processes keep running.
