CreateOS Sandbox vs T Cloud Public
Choose T Cloud Public when a workload must sit in German or Dutch data centers under formal attestations such as BSI C5 Type 2 and TISAX. Choose CreateOS Sandbox when the job is running agent or untrusted code in short-lived micro-VMs created per task by API. One is enterprise infrastructure you operate; the other is a sandbox service with egress rules and pause built in.
Open Telekom Cloud was renamed T Cloud Public in January 2026; it is the same platform, and old open-telekom-cloud.com URLs redirect to t-cloud-public.com.

Where CreateOS Sandbox Fits Better
What CreateOS Sandbox brings to this matchup, with a plain note on where T Cloud Public has the edge.
No per-GB egress price on CreateOS; T Cloud Public charges from EUR 0.074489/GB after the first free GB each month.
Per-second billing for sandboxes that live for minutes, where T Cloud Public bills Elastic servers by the hour.

Where T Cloud Public is strong
A deep stack of audited compliance, including BSI C5 Type 2, SOC 1/2/3 Type II, ISO 27001/27017/27018 and TISAX Level 3 (vendor-stated), on EU-only infrastructure run by Deutsche Telekom, with shapes up to 192 vCPU / 1504 GB and GPUs up to H100.
Which to Pick
Pick CreateOS Sandbox if
- Your agent spins up a sandbox per task and you want to pay per second, not per hour.
- You want sandbox egress limited to named hosts without managing security groups.
- You want to resume or fork a sandbox with its memory intact.
Pick T Cloud Public if
- Your auditors require BSI C5 or TISAX on German or Dutch infrastructure.
- You run SAP, HPC or other long-lived enterprise systems that need very large memory shapes.
- You want reserved monthly pricing for steady servers.

Common Questions
Is T Cloud Public the same as Open Telekom Cloud?
Yes, it is the same platform under a new name. Deutsche Telekom renamed Open Telekom Cloud to T Cloud Public in January 2026, and old open-telekom-cloud.com URLs redirect to t-cloud-public.com. Elastic Cloud Server still provides KVM virtual machines in the eu-de and eu-nl regions.
Which compliance certifications do T Cloud Public and CreateOS publish?
T Cloud Public lists BSI C5 Type 2, SOC 1/2/3 Type II, ISO/IEC 27001, 27017, 27018 and 27701, TISAX Level 3 and the EU Cloud Code of Conduct Level 2 (vendor-stated). CreateOS is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified, with reports available under NDA.
Can CreateOS Sandbox meet a German hosting requirement like T Cloud Public?
CreateOS offers two managed regions, eu and us, picked at create time. If your requirement names Germany or the Netherlands specifically, T Cloud Public states it directly with its eu-de and eu-nl regions across six availability zones.
