CreateOS Sandbox vs UCloud Agent Sandbox

Pick UCloud Agent Sandbox if you build agents for users in mainland China or already run on UCloud and want E2B-style APIs on local infrastructure. Pick CreateOS Sandbox if jobs run longer than 24 hours, need more than 8 GB of memory, or need an EU region and a documented isolation model.

Pricing at a Glance

CreateOS rates verified 17 October 2026. UCloud Agent Sandbox pricing as published on 17 October 2026. Rates billed per GB rather than per GiB, or as bundled sizes, are quoted as published rather than converted.

UCloud Agent Sandbox

UCloud bills per second at CNY 0.00003 per vCPU-second and CNY 0.000015 per GiB-second, with 10 GB local storage free per sandbox and persistent storage at CNY 0.0005 per GB-hour after 60 GB free, as of 17 October 2026.

Where CreateOS Sandbox Fits Better

What CreateOS Sandbox brings to this matchup, with a plain note on where UCloud Agent Sandbox has the edge.

No runtime cap, where UCloud reclaims a sandbox after 24 hours of total runtime by default.

Up to 16 GB memory on Enterprise, against UCloud's 8 vCPU / 8 GB per sandbox.

Isolation is documented: each sandbox is a Firecracker micro-VM with its own guest kernel; UCloud's docs do not state theirs.

An eu region alongside us; UCloud runs in two China regions and Los Angeles.

Where UCloud Agent Sandbox is strong

UCloud gives you drop-in E2B compatibility in mainland China regions plus a US region, per-second CNY pricing with a sizeable free trial allotment, and fine-grained egress allow and deny rules you can change on a running sandbox.

Which to Pick

Common Questions

How long can a UCloud Agent Sandbox run?

24 hours of total runtime by default, after which UCloud reclaims it; a configurable timeout can pause it sooner. CreateOS Sandbox has no lifetime cap, and its optional idle auto-pause ranges from 60 seconds to 24 hours.

Which regions does UCloud Agent Sandbox offer?

Three: cn-wlcb North China (Ulanqab, the default), cn-sh East China (Shanghai) and us-ca (Los Angeles), and data does not cross regions. CreateOS Sandbox offers eu and us.

Can UCloud sandboxes block specific outbound IPs?

Yes. UCloud supports allow_out rules by IP, CIDR or domain and deny_out rules by IP or CIDR, with allow taking precedence. CreateOS Sandbox has no deny list; it allows everything until you add a rule, then denies whatever the allowlist does not name.
