CreateOS Sandbox vs KakaoCloud

KakaoCloud is for Korean companies that need domestic VMs, GPUs or NPUs with billing in won. CreateOS Sandbox is for agent and untrusted code that runs in the eu or us regions, in micro-VMs with pause, fork and outbound allowlists. If data must stay in Korea, KakaoCloud is the option of the two.

Pricing at a Glance

CreateOS rates verified 17 October 2026. KakaoCloud pricing as published on 17 October 2026. Rates billed per GB rather than per GiB, or as bundled sizes, are quoted as published rather than converted.

Where CreateOS Sandbox Fits Better

What CreateOS Sandbox brings to this matchup, with a plain note on where KakaoCloud has the edge.

Per-second billing, against KakaoCloud's per-minute billing.

Memory and CPU state survive a pause, and a paused sandbox forks into copies; KakaoCloud publishes neither.

Where KakaoCloud is strong

Per-minute billing in Korean won with Korean-hosted GPUs and FuriosaAI NPUs, suited to data-residency needs in Korea.
