Production Yield Analysis
Find where yield is lost across the line and point to the steps that drive waste.
What It Does
When a run closes, the agent joins its MES output, quality records, and material consumption to show where yield was lost by machine, shift, and material, and ranks the factors that track with the loss. Every figure traces back to the production records behind it for the ops team to check.Without it: Yield loss hides across machines, shifts, and materials, so root cause takes weeks to track down.
- Rejects are attributed to the run that made them, not the shift that found them
- Separates process waste from short-supplied material and from rework returned to the line
- Sets the run against the last ten of the same product, not a fixed target
- Runs below the sample threshold are reported inconclusive rather than ranked
Illustrative example
Run 5510 of a 40s cotton yarn books 4,180 kg against a 4,400 kg plan. The agent splits the 220 kg gap across carding, spinning and winding, compares it with the last ten runs of the same count, and puts winding on B shift at the top alongside the two raw-stock lots those runs share. The plant manager opens the linked records and decides what to test next run.
