Shade and Color Matching
Check shade and color against the reference and flag lots that drift out of tolerance.
What It Does
The agent takes the color measurement for each dye lot, compares it to the shade standard for that shade, and reports the deviation against your tolerance. The reading and the result are written to the lot record, and the quality team accepts or rejects the lot.Without it: Color drift between lots and batches is caught late, leading to rejects and reruns.
- Reports deviation per axis, so the direction of the drift is visible
- Reads the lot under every illuminant the standard names, not one light
- Flags a run of lots drifting the same way while each stays in tolerance
- A missing or superseded shade standard is reported, never substituted with the nearest
Illustrative example
Dye lot D-2287 in navy 19-4024 comes off at a delta-E of 1.4, inside the 2.0 tolerance, but it is the fourth lot running green in the same direction. The reading and the deviation go to the lot record, and the shade room sees the four-lot trend together rather than one lot at a time. The colourist accepts or rejects D-2287 and decides whether the recipe gets re-tuned.
